Enterprise Police Department has Made an Arrest in the Attempted Murder Investigation

The Enterprise Police Department has made an arrest in the attempted murder investigation that occurred in the 600 Block of N. Rawls Street on November 7, 2017. On November 24, 2017, at 2:30 PM, EPD Patrol Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a speeding vehicle on Hwy 167 North.
The driver of the vehicle refused to stop and a pursuit was initiated. During the pursuit, a passenger of the vehicle bailed out of the fleeing vehicle and was immediately apprehended by EPD Officers. The fleeing vehicle was stopped shortly thereafter and the driver was taken into custody without further incident.
The driver of the vehicle, identified as Brittany Michelle Pierson Magwood, age 27, of Enterprise, AL was arrested and charged with Attempting to Elude a Police Officer, Reckless Endangerment, and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd. The subject who bailed out of the vehicle was identified as Garrett Oneal Jones Arencibia. Arencibia was arrested on felony warrants obtained by EPD Detectives from an attempted murder investigation.
EPD Officers executed arrest warrants on Arencibia for Kidnapping 1st, Attempted Murder, and Possession of a Forged Instrument 3rd. Magwood and Arencibia were transported to the Coffee County Jail after arrest.
