Eufaula Police Officer - Former Kinsey Police Officer - Former SHORT TERM Ashford Police Officer ARRESTED

HOUSTON COUNTY:   A current Eufaula Police Officer was arrested today and booked into the Houston County Jail.


Arrested on seven counts of Theft By Deception in the first degree was 42 year old Renee Lynne Beitel. Booked at 12:39 PM Beitel was later released on bonds totaling $ 70,000.00.


The charges stem from money Beitel was alleged to have borrowed.


Beitel worked a stint as Kinsey Police Officer and a short stint as a Ashford Police Officer. At the time of the arrest Beitel was working with Eufaula Police Department. According to information when she reported to work this morning she was told of the arrest warrants and brought to Houston County by Eufaula Police.


NOTE:  Yesterday someone told me they had applied for pre-trial diversion with the District Attorney’s office in Houston County on cases made against them by Beitel.


The person told me the officer was no longer with Kinsey Police Department ( or Ashford Police Department ) so they were being offered pre-trial diversion. I do not remember the persons name.


But if you read this article or if you have been arrested and have cases pending by this officer, talk with your lawyer before the system cons you out of a lot of money for pre-trial.
