Daleville:  Wiregrass Habitat for Humanity will celebrate the construction of its 127th home at a dedication ceremony Friday, May 26th in Daleville at 44 Myrtle Street, Daleville. The new homeowners, Cara Cole and her children, are very thankful to all those who worked so hard to help them reach this goal.  The community and volunteers made this home possible through their support.  We had many volunteers to help build this home including Corvias Military Living, Wiregrass Habitat Women Build as well as volunteers from the community.

The family will be presented with the key to their new home as well as a Bible.  Ms. Cole, her children, her friends and family have performed 500 sweat equity hours working on their home and the homes of others as a requirement for becoming Habitat homeowners.

Wiregrass Habitat for Humanity and Ms. Cole would like to invite the community to celebrate with them as well as the volunteers who spent many hours of their free time to help build this home.  The dedication and celebration of the home will be at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, May 26th.

Through donations of money and materials and volunteer labor, Wiregrass Habitat for Humanity was able to build the home and sell it at an affordable price. The Coles will purchase the home with a no-profit loan, and their monthly mortgage payments will be used to continue the mission of eliminating substandard housing in the Wiregrass.

Amy Schutz, Executive Director with Wiregrass Habitat for Humanity, said So many volunteers in the community worked with us to make this home possible. We are so happy the family will be able to begin the next chapter of their life in their new home."
