LEE COUNTY, Ala (WRBL) The deceased female suspect, who police believe was involved in Friday night's shooting of an Auburn Police officer, has been identified by the Lee County Coroner's Office. Coroner Bill Harris says he is now asking the public for their help, locating the family of 36-year-old Erica Renee Miller. Her last known residence is in Eufaula, Alabama.
If anyone knows of any relatives of Miller, you are asked to please contact the Lee County Coroner's Office or have the family contact the Coroner's office at 334-737-3620. If you want to leave information anonymously, call the Lee County Coroner Secret Witness line at 334-745-8686.
Miller is thought to have died in murder/suicide, according to Lee County Coroner Bill Harris. The male suspect was identified as 38-year-old Christopher James Wallace, of the Spanish Fort area. Harris says the results show the two suspects did not die from the effects of the apartment fire.
"It is believed that Wallace shot the female suspect and then turned the gun on himself in a murder-suicide. Where each suspect was shot is not being released at this time as the case is still very early in its stages and is ongoing," said Harris.
