FUGITIVE APPREHENDED IN ESTO

ESTO: A fugitive wanted out of Okaloosa County for sexual battery on a child was taken into custody Wednesday, September 5.
Investigators with the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office, along with the U.S. Marshals Service Regional Fugitive Task Force, apprehended Michael Aaron Stephens, 24, of Crestview after receiving a tip that Stephens was in the Esto area.
Stephens, who was wanted on charges of sexual battery on a child under the age of 12, was located hiding in a shed just off Second Avenue South in Esto.

The U.S. Marshals Service Regional Fugitive Task Force is a cooperative effort between the Panama City Police Department, Bay County Sheriff’s Office, Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, Holmes County Sheriff’s Office, Washington County Sheriff’s office, the United States Marshals Service, and United States Customs and Border Protection.
