Alabama Governor Kay Ivey has signed legislation the ten cents per gallon is law. The issue passed the Alabama Senate today. The vote was 28 to 6 in the Alabama Senate,
This past Friday the legislation passed the Alabama House this past Thursday in a 83 to 20 vote.
The sponsor of the gas tax legislation is Representative Bill Poole. Prior to Alabama Governor Kay Ivey signing the legislation into law Governor Ivey hugged Representative Poole in a thanks hug for sponsoring this legislation.
