Hartford Man Arrested on Multiple Charges in Enterprise

On February 7, 2019, at 3:40 AM, the Enterprise Police Department responded to the 300 Block of South Oak Ridge Drive on a call for suspicious person. EPD Officers were patrolling this area of Enterprise due to auto burglary complaints.
EPD Officers made contact with the suspicious person and conducted a field interview. A few minutes into the field interview, the suspect attempted to run from Officers. The suspect became combative with Officers and after a brief struggle he was placed under arrest.
Upon further investigation, Officers discovered the suspect was in possession of a stolen vehicle out of Hartford, AL and stolen property from auto burglaries. The suspect was later identified as Cody Lamar Sellers, age 19, of Hartford, AL.
EPD Officers arrested and charged Sellers with Attempting to Elude, Resisting Arrest, Unlawful Breaking and Entering a Motor Vehicle, Receiving Stolen Property 1st, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, and Using False Identity to Obstruct Justice.
Sellers was transported to the Coffee County Jail after arrest. Additional charges may be pending on Sellers.
