Rich Hobson, who twice served as administrative director of the state court system under former Chief Justice Roy Moore, is back on the job.
Chief Justice Tom Parker, who was elected in November and took the oath of office on Friday, announced Hobson as his choice for the position.
Hobson and Parker are longtime allies of Moore.
In a press release, Parker noted Hobson’s extensive experience in the court system, starting with his work as a court referral officer in south Alabama in 1988. Parker said Hobson was an effective and efficient administrator and innovator who would help him modernize and increase funding for the court system.
