HEADLAND CELEBRATES WITH HOLIDAY ACTIVITIES

Headland will have a Holiday Open House and Tree-Lighting to launch the holiday season on Tuesday, November 28.
Merchants will stay open late with special sales and holiday treats for people to shop after normal business hours. Several businesses will also have customer appreciation/open house activities during the day.
Register for a grand door prize at participating businesses throughout the day. Look for the lighted luminaries that designate participating businesses during the event.
Headland Elementary School’s Kindergarten’s Holiday Sing will begin at 6:00 at the gazebo. The children will also decorate the square’s tree during the tree- lighting ceremony immediately following. Strolling carolers and the Headland High School Band will also entertain with Christmas music in front of businesses around the square during the evening.
Sundown Cinema, a free outdoor movie presentation at the square in Downtown Headland, will be Friday, Dec. 1, 6pm. The featured presentation is “The Muppets Christmas Carol.” Popcorn and refreshments will be available. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets.
Headland’s Annual Christmas Parade will be Thursday evening, December 7 at 6:00 p.m. The theme for this year’s parade is “Light of the World.” Santa will visit with children on the front porch of the library immediately following the parade.
