You don't want to miss the 47th Annual Harvest Day, Saturday, Oct. 13. This fun-filled event takes place downtown in and around Headland's beautiful city square. The day is a tribute to local farmers and the harvest season. It features a classic car show, children’s games and rides, arts and crafts, food vendors and live entertainment throughout the day.
This year's event is an official Alabama Bicentennial event and will kick off Henry County's celebration of the state and county's 200th birthday. While at Harvest Day you can also visit the Making Alabama traveling bicentennial exhibit inside the Blanche Solomon Memorial Library on the square.
Harvest Day gets underway at 9:00am and concludes at 3:00pm. Entertainment this year will include Alabama's Singing Cowgirl Jessie Lynn, the Tri-State Community Orchestra, the Conrad Family and Mel Williams.
A free shuttle will pick up at the school parking lot for additional transportation to and from the event.
