Henry County Sheriff Deputies Find Suspect Alive and Well

HENRY COUNTY:    Since Saturday night Henry County Sheriff Deputies has been searching for a man who they feared could have drowned.


A driver license check was being conducted on Henry County 97 and Henry County 48. The law officers heard a vehicle stop, put in reverse and speed backwards. The driver jumped in the lake.


The officers talked with the suspect in the water. Then he disappeared.


Law Officers borrowed a boat looking for him. Other agencies to include Game and Fish joined and since Saturday have searched for him. His family had no contact with him.


Last night he was found safe hiding in the woods. His name is Larry Wears - who is wearing orange now!


He is now in the Henry County Jail.
