Henry County Sheriff's Office Takes to the Skies

HENRY COUNTY (WDHN) - This afternoon in Henry County the sheriff's office got a shiny new toy for its arsenal that will let them cover more ground. At the Abbeville Airport, the Henry County Sheriff's Office received a helicopter, after filling out a nationwide application two years ago.
The department was chosen from applicants all over the united states and Sheriff William Maddox says that Henry County has a great need for the helicopter.
Through the 10-33 program that gives law enforcement equipment to use, this helicopter will not cost the sheriff's department or taxpayers any money.
