Holmes County Man Arrested for Traveling to Meet a Minor for Sex

HCSO announces the arrest of 31-year-old Michael Stevens from Chipley, after Stevens contacted a 15-year-old female on social media.
On November 4, 2017 Stevens contacted what he thought was a 15-year-old female from Bonifay on Facebook which was an HCSO investigator posing as a 15-year-old female.
Stevens initiated a conversation and sent nude pics of his private parts to the 15-year-old and... began talking vulgar to her. Stevens was told on several occasions that the young girl was 15 years old and he continued engaging by stating that he wanted to arrange to meet up with the 15-year-old female at an undisclosed place in Bonifay to have sex.
When Stevens arrived, he was confronted by investigators and taken into custody. Stevens admitted to coming to Bonifay to meet the young girl and admitted to sending the pornographic pictures. Stevens was arrested and charged with driving while license suspended, traveling to meet a minor for sex and obscene communications using a computer.
