HOLMES COUNTY, Fla. - Holmes County Sheriff’s Office is attempting to identify a suspect believed to be connected to a recent theft from a Bonifay business.

A HCSO deputy responded on March 9, 2018, to a report of a possible theft at C&C Construction, located on Highway 90.

The business owner advised the deputy that a white male was captured by surveillance cameras stealing two red barrels which had been placed near the road and advertised for sale.

Video footage from around 11 a.m. that morning showed the subject was driving an older model Dodge pickup truck.

The subject, who is still unknown at this time, can be seen in the video taking the barrels and placing them in the back of his truck and then heading westbound toward Bonifay on Highway 90.

The business owner stated he recalled seeing the barrels with the for sale sign on them still sitting at the road prior to everyone leaving for lunch and noticed after returning from lunch that the barrels had been removed.

The suspect appeared to be of at least middle-age and between 5’9” and 6’ in height. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a ball cap, a blue shirt, and jeans.

The truck is described as a single-cab, two-door, dark colored older model Dodge Ram. At the time of the incident, the truck had a toolbox in the back and a spotlight on the roof of the truck.

Anyone with any information on the identity of the suspect shown in these images is asked to contact Holmes County Sheriff’s Office at 850-547-3681, Opt. 1.
