HOUSTON COUNTY ADMINISTRATIVE MEETING

Chairman Mark Culver, Commissioner Doug Sinquefield, Chairman  Mark Culver, Commissioner Ricky Herring and Commissioner Brandon Shoupe were present.

Commissioner Curtis Harvey is out of town.

Commissioner Brandon Shoupe thanked Road and Bridge on behalf of a man on Winslette Road and the great job they did.

Commissioner Doug Sinquefield also echoed those comments.

The Commission re-appointed Doug Sinquefield to the Policy Committee of the Southeast Alabama Rural Planning Organization – Andrew Windham, Regional Planner.

The Commission approved a resolution to approve a proposed amendment to the Articles of Incorporation for the Houston County Industrial Development Authority – Matt Parker HCIDA.

Request to approve pass through funding for Ashford Fire from Southern Nuclear in the amount of $ 5,000.00 for equipment – Chris Judah, EMA Director.

Approved pass through grant 6FSL from Department of Homeland Security to Houston County Sheriff office and Dothan Police Bomb Team – Chris Judah, EMA Director.

Approved pass through grant CEP-44-PV8-19 in the amount of $ 10,000.00 form the Alabama Department of Public Health for use by Southeast ADPH Region counties for SNS Equipment – Chris Judah, EMA Director.

Request to enter into mutual aid agreement between Coffee and Houston County Road and Bridge.

Request to sell the following items on GovDeals – Road and Bridge: (1) Miscellaneous office equipment/computers – Probate. (2) Chemical containers – Road and Bridge (3) Lifts – Road and Bridge.

No report from the County Administrator Bill Dempsey.

No report from the County Attorney Press Register.

The “sit in” for County Engineer Barkley Kirkland said they have to be completed on debris removal on North of Highway 84 this week  . South of Highway 84 is not completed.  Houston County Road and Bridge has site inspection with FEMA.

The meeting started at 10:00 AM and adjourned at 10:09 AM.
