HOUSTON COUNTY:     When placing debris on the right-of-way for pick up, please make sure that the debris pile adheres to the following:

1.  Make sure the debris pile is separated. Tree parts, limbs, leaves, and the like should be in one pile; Household debris and white goods must be separated.

2.  Make sure the debris pile is far enough away from the roadway so that it does not fall into the roadway.

3.  Make sure the debris pile is not located near things that can be damaged by large equipment, such as utility poles or pedestals, fire hydrants, mailboxes, etc....

Motorists should exercise caution when traveling on any roadway. This debris will take time to collect and in the meantime will be located on the shoulders of county roads.
