As of 2:00pm Houston County Road and Bridge crews have cleared 214 roads of debris. There are approximately 20 that are partially passable. Please use caution when traveling on any roadway.

These roads are being deemed clear because they will allow citizens and first responders to travel the roadway, however, there is still debris and trees that may be located just off of the pavement on the right-of-way.

We do not know the conditions of all of the roads that still have dangerous or low lying power lines. There are power crews working around the clock and if we become aware of any special circumstances that they are not able to get to, we will try to keep you informed. Thankfully, that has not been an issue.

Everyone is working together and doing everything possible to restore a little bit of normalcy. Please be patient and when traveling the roadways, use caution and look out for any crews that may be out working.
