Just a few weeks ago Dothan and many other towns in our area
and beyond were severely hit by Hurricane Michael.
The City Of Dothan, EMA and Houston County quickly responded to restore electricity, passable road ways
and remove tons of debris through out the city and county.
It would take a few weeks to get it done but everyone involved worked their butts off
day and night to get it done for all of us...the Citizens of Dothan and the Wiregrass Community.
As they were trying to get all of that done...along comes another Severe Weather Condition that
blew down power poles and trees along with damage to houses and cars on the west side of Dothan.
And Who was on the scene within minutes?
The City Of Dothan Police and Fire Department going
door to door in my neighborhood at 1:45 in the morning checking to see if everyone was ok.
And Dothan-Houston County Emergency Management Director Chris Judah along with Rickey Stokes (EMA) were on the scene.
to evaluate the damage and afterwards Rickey went and got tarps and delivered them back to the residence on my street.
One was left on my porch to cover my roof damage.
A few hours later...Mayor Mark Saliba standing in the street checking to see
if everyone was ok and asking if they needed anything.
Thank You Mayor Saliba, The City Of Dothan Police And Fire Department, Utilities Department, EMA Director Chris Judah And Rickey Stokes
And the Houston County Sheriff’s Office for helping to make
OUR COMMUNITY
such a wonderful place to live.
