In Henry County - The Way It Is Suppose To Be

HENRY COUNTY:     The way it is suppose to be. A Henry County Sheriff Deputy called end of duty on the radio. 


The deputy, 3708, called in to the Sheriff Department dispatch that he was ending his tour of duty and Merry Christmas to the Communications Officer.


When the Houston County Sheriff Communications Officer acknowledged his call, the Deputy, 3708, radioed Abbeville Police Department and told their communications officer, Merry Christmas.


RADIOS IN HENRY COUNTY


You have some children trapped in adult bodies that have been made leaders in Abbeville - Headland - Henry County and the Henry County District Attorney Office.


Henry County Sheriff Department can talk on their own radio to Abbeville Police but can not monitor Abbeville Police primary. Then Abbeville Police can not hear or answer Henry County Sheriff Department. Henry County Sheriff Department can not monitor Headland Police Department.


So in Henry County, you have about 34 law enforcement officers in Henry County Sheriff Department, Abbeville Police Department, Headland Police Department and Newville Police Department.


On the volunteer side, Abbeville Fire - Rescue operates on the same radio channel as all other fire EMS in Henry County but Headland. In Headland the Headland Police Department and Headland Fire Department work on their own channels.


The ones who suffer, is the citizens and guests of Henry County.


20th Judicial Circuit District Attorney Pat Jones allowed his Chief Investigator Jay Henry to run for Henry County Sheriff while still employed and drawing a paycheck as District Attorney Investigator. During the campaign District Attorney Pat Jones allowed his investigators to politic and not do their job. The murder case was dismissed because a witness could not be found.


Oh, the murder was described by Dothan Police as an execution style murder.


The time has come for:


1. Headland Mayor Ray Marler, Abbeville Mayor Billy Helms and Probate Judge/Commission Chairman David Money to get together and say...there will be one central dispatch in all of Henry County, it will be located at ... and you will operate on these channels. Put some one in it with backbone to set it up and make it run correctly.


Your life could depend on it.


2. The time for the children trapped in adult bodies in charge to be given an ultimatum: you will get the communications fixed and all agencies will combine resources and work together or you will be fired.


While there are times Will Maddox needs kicking in the seat of the pants to get the deputies in line, the time has come for this to be fixed. Before someone is killed.


Chairman David Money, you are the overall leader. Fix it today.
