Inmate Dies At Dothan Hospital From Ventress Correctional Institute

CLAYTON: On Sunday afternoon a ambulance followed by an Alabama Department of Corrections van was seen southbound on Highway 431 coming through Headland and into Dothan. Both were running emergency traffic, lights and siren.
Alabama Department of Corrections Public Information Officer, Bob Horton, said the inmate, who has not been identified, was being treated at a local hospital when he died. Horton said no foul play is suspected. The inmate is reported to have died Monday. He was transported from Ventress Correctional Institute to a Dothan hospital on Sunday.
