Intersection improvements at Alabama Highway 605 and Fortner to begin Wednesday


 


DOTHAN – An Alabama Department of Transportation intersection improvement project at Alabama Highway 605 (Brannon Stand Road) and Fortner Street will begin Wednesday, May 30, weather permitting.  


 


Improvements include installing left and right turn lanes on Brannon Stand Road and left turn lanes on Fortner Street and updating the current signal.  


 


During construction the current signal will be converted to a flashing red, four way stop condition.  Once the widening is complete an updated signal will be installed.  


 


Motorists should expect delays and plan accordingly and are urged to use caution when traveling through a work zone.
