Joint Investigation Leads to Drug Seizure and Two Arrested

The Dothan Police Department and Houston County Sheriff’s Office Vice Units have been working a joint investigation into the illegal distribution of narcotics for the past two weeks.
On Friday night Vice Investigators from both agencies along with Houston County Deputies attempted to stop the suspect’s vehicle as it approached his residence in Columbia. After a short vehicle pursuit the vehicle struck a tree and two subjects ran from the vehicle. One subject was apprehended by a Sheriff’s Office K9 and the other was apprehended by Vice Investigators shortly after they fled. Evidence was recovered from the location of the pursuit.
Investigators executed a search warrant in the 100 block of Campbell Street Columbia. Combined from both locations Investigators seized 2.6 pounds of methamphetamine (Ice), 1200 Xanax pills, Steroids, Marijuana, 3 firearms, and approximately fifty one thousand dollars in cash.
Investigators have arrested and charged 32 year old Patrick Whitehead, of Woodbury Dr. Dothan, with two counts of Drug Trafficking and have arrested and charged 38 year old Joshua Brady, of Campbell St. Columbia, with two counts of Drug Trafficking.
The investigation is still ongoing and more charges are expected.
