Kay and Doug Together In Dothan

DOTHAN and WEBB:     Alabama Govenor Kay Ivey and United States Senator Doug Jones were together in Dothan today. They smiled and laughed as they dined together at the Chamber of Commerce luncheon. 


Neither had time to answer any questions from media.


The luncheon was catered by Kreative Catering. It looked good and smelled good but I was told by the Chamber of Commerce Official I could not eat. So no idea how good it was.

Then Governor Ivey and Alabama House Member Paul Lee went to Webb Elementary School. The kids did a great job with the Governor and sang some songs for her. The kids were excited.


Representative Paul Lee had gotten the Webb students a meeting with Governor Ivey and they submitted 300 letters of request for the Governor to visit the school.


It was a nice event for the kids.


As the event was near ending the press secretary for Governor Ivey asked WDHN and WTVY reporters if they had any questions for the Governor. Both said no.


I told the Governor's press lady I did. She asked what and I said legislature and lottery. She looked at her phone, then said just checked the schedule and no time, and the weather was getting bad, that the Governor needed to get back to Montgomery and would not have time.


And the WTVY and WDHN reporters were clueless to any issues to even ask the Governor.


So our Governor and Your U.S. Senator were in Dothan but no time to answer questions. Well no time for anyone who knew real issues to ask questions.
