Kidnapping Attempt in Marianna - Suspect in Custody

On September 17th, 2018 at approximately 11:52pm, officers with the Marianna Police Department responded to Spring Gate Manor Apartments located at Kent Drive in reference to a reported kidnapping attempt. Upon officer’s arrival on scene, they were able to determine Ronald Redini entered an apartment without consent and attempted to forcibly remove a juvenile from the apartment.
After exiting the Apartment with the juvenile, Redini began dragging the juvenile towards his vehicle. The child was able to break free of Redini grasp and run to safety. Residents of the complex observed the events take placed and contacted Law Enforcement. Officers placed Redini under arrest without incident immediately following the investigation.
Ronald Redini Jr was transported to the Jackson County Correctional Facility to await first appearance.

Charges: Burglary to Structure Unarmed, Aggravated Abuse and Neglect of a Child, Kidnapping
