Kitten Stuck in a Storm Drain at Southside Wal-mart

DOTHAN: At 2:09 PM… Dothan Fire Engine 4 responded to a report of a cat stuck in a storm drain at Southside Wal-mart. Dothan Police and Animal Control were on the scene needing help.


The crew from Engine 4 arrived on the scene and a plan was put into place. When that didn’t work another plan was tried. The kitten was about 20 feet down the drain pipe and was not coming out. Due to the size of the pipe no one could have gotten to it.


 The crew from Engine 4 tried everything to get the kitten to move to another opening. That didn’t work either. Animal control even placed food in the drain and still nothing. After an hour everyone was out of options.


Eventually the kitten will find it way out of the storm drain but it was coming out right now.


Thanks to Engine 4, DPD and Animal Control for trying to get the kitten out.
