Landmark Park's Summer Day Camps start next week, and they are filling fast! We have a few more spaces left in Pioneer Adventure camp for kids entering grades 4-6. From 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. on June 5-8, campers will take a trip back in time and experience what it was like to live on a farm at the turn of the century. Learn how to care for farm animals and find out how important each animal was to the pioneer farmer.
Spend time in the garden and learn how people grew their own vegetables while planting and harvesting. Campers will also learn how to churn butter, make ice cream, wash clothes (without electricity!) and cook on the open hearth.
On the last day of camp, parents are invited to visit the Wiregrass Farmstead at Landmark Park and taste some of the cornbread and butter prepared by the costumed campers.
This is a chance you don't want to miss! Visit www.landmarkparkdothan.com/camps to register. If you have any questions, please call Anna at 334-794-3452 or email [email protected].
See you this summer!
