Today a meeting was held at the Houston County Farm Center to discuss the upcoming LEAPS Training. This training is Law Enforcement Alliance for Peer Support. It’s basically a program they teach law enforcement what to look for in Crisis intervention with involving fellow law enforcement.
Everywhere you look these day’s there are all kinds of help for people that need it except for first responders. This class will take place starting October 16th and run through the 19th.
This class is hosted by the Houston County Sheriff’s Office and Headland Police Department. As law enforcement you are trained to deal with bad situations, but they are human. Sometimes they have to come to terms with certain things and need some help dealing with it. That’s where this class comes in.
