Narrative Sketch:  On February 2, 2005 Moss was sentenced to 25 years in the Alabama Department of Corrections by a Montgomery County Circuit Judge William A. Shashy for several counts of Theft of Property and Possession of Forged Instruments (stolen checks).

On August 14, 2003 Moss was convicted in the Middle District of Alabama and sentenced to 37 months in the Federal penitentiary for being an ex-felon in possession of a firearm.

On January 8, 2009 Moss was granted parole by the Alabama Board of Pardons and Parole and was released into the custody of the U.S. Marshals on January 26, 2009.

On September 30, 2011 Moss was from a Federal Halfway house in Montgomery, AL.  On January 14, 2012 Moss released his first book tell-all memoir entitled "From Pain To Power."

On January 30, 2013 Moss was unjustly arrested in Dothan, AL and charged with Receiving Stolen Property involving a $300.00 purse that he found in the parking lot of Taco Bell restaurant located at 1087 Ross Clark Circle in Dothan, AL.

On March 5, 2013 the Alabama Board of Pardons and Paroles revoked Moss parole for 3 years.

On March 8, 2016 the Alabama Board of Pardons and Paroles denied Moss parole for two more years until March of 2018.

On August 10, 2016 just five months after Moss was denied parole while working on an assigned detail at the Alabama State Troopers Office, Moss found something else and it was a loaded 38 revolver pistol and not a $300.00 purse.  Moss immediately did what a typical law abiding citizen would've done and that was immediately report this to law enforcement officials at the Troopers Office.  Moss received a letter of commendation for his transparent and responsible behavior.

On September 28, 2016 Moss appeared on the front page of the Montgomery Advertiser with the headline being "Cleaning Crew Has Dirty Past."  This write up was done by reporter Josh Moon.

On April 10, 2018 the Alabama Board of Pardons and Paroles granted Rev. Kita Moss parole obviously based on his responsible behavior displayed at the Alabama State Troopers Office.  However it took nearly two years for his parole to be considered again.

The horrific thing is that Moss has several five years and three months in this 3/5/13 parole revocation over a $300.00 purse that he found in the parking lot of Taco Bell restaurant located in Dothan, AL and the sad thing is that nothing was ever missing out this purse once the Dothan police was given back the purse by Moss.

Moss attended Albany State University from 1996-1997 and later transferred to Alabama State University in August of 1997 and was there until May 2000.

Moss has been in ministry for 18 years and has been the Associate Minister of the Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church located at 1550 E. Washington Street here in Montgomery ,Al  where the Rev. Walter E. Ellis is the senior pastor. Moss has resided at Pilgrim Rest since December 2002.

Over the last past five years of Moss' incarceration due to his parole being revoked he has since written his sophomore book entitled "My History Tried To Strangle My Destiny."

Moss has landed a contract offer from Dorrance Publishing Company in Pittsburgh, Al and this book is set to be released late this year or early next year.

Moss is expected to walk free again out of the Red Eagle Work Center on May 7, 2018 at 8:00 am where he has served the last past 26 months of his five year revocation journey.
