COMMENTS

Slaughter cows and bulls were steady to firm. Replacement bred cows and cow calf pairs fully steady . Calves and feeder cattle 3 to 6 dollars higher across the board and buyer activity and demand for cattle as good as I have ever seen!!Fed cattle in the West sharply higher again last week @ 145- 147 and could go higher. Fed cattle supplies are current and beef demand is very good. Just saw this morning where our NEW Sec. of Ag. Sonny Perdue announced the first load of American Beef arriving in Brazil in more than 13 years. Now that is a turn around and a very welcome one.
