Local Rescue Squad Recieves much Needed Grant

HOUSTON COUNTY: A few months ago Cottonwood Rescue applied for a grant from the Wiregrass Electric Cooperative Operation Round up Charitable Foundation.



The grant was to help pay for, two new stretchers two new cardiac monitors and two new stair chairs.



Today members of Cottonwood and Foundation Board members were on hand at the Wiregrass Electric Cooperative to present a check to Cottonwood Rescue for the sum of $9000.00. Cottonwood Rescue wanted to thank the board for the grant.



The only income the rescue squad receives is $21,000.00 a year that is given out quarterly. This grant will help tremendously to help pay for the much needed equipment.
