Madrid Structure Fire

MADRID: This evening about 8:45 PM Sheriff 911 dispatched a structure fire on Broad Street in Madrid. On the arrival of fire engines smoke and flames were visible. The house sit way off the road and no fire hydrants were near the residence.
Madrid Vol Fire, Southern Junction Vol. Fire, Hodgesville Vol. Fire, Cottonwood Vol. Fire, Cottonwood Vol, Rescue, Campbellton Vol. Fire, Pilcher Ambulance and Ashford Fire Command vehicle, two members of Rehobeth Vol. Fire, a couple from Wicksburg Vol. Fire, Cowarts Vol. Fire, Judah and Stokes with Dothan - Houston County Emergency Management.
A Cottonwood Fireman was burned on the back of neck and was transported to the hospital. He was treated and released. A second fireman was injured but not transported.
There was also a power outage in Madrid and several Alabama Power trucks were in Madrid laying some new power lines and poles.
Salvation Army responded to the scene with refreshments and rehab for the fireman.
At 12:33 AM there was still about 25 volunteer fire and EMS still on the scene.
On SPECIAL NOTE: This was a multi agency unified command operation. Chief Posey brought Ashford's Tahoe Command Vehicle to the scene for Command.
