Ozark will celebrate the national day of DOING GOOD, Make A Difference Day, on Saturday October 27th.  The committee has been meeting and planning a variety of projects and activities. We began by presenting 200 Breast Cancer Awareness Pins to Pat, at the Mammogram suite of Dale Medical Surgery Center, to encourage her patients. Hands of LOVE and Prayers hold the pins donated by the Make a Difference Day Committee. Pam Lopez is this years’ chairperson.

The fun will begin 8am Sat. October 27, 2018, at Ozark Baptist, for prayer, light snacks, T-shirts and send off to work sites. Many projects are already rolling along prior to the big day such as Carroll High School/Logan’s Cleaners Winter Coat Collection, FUMC Back Pack Ministry, and The Breast Cancer Pin donations to Dale Medical Imaging Center.

Many people take the opportunity to find their own way of doing good things for people in need that day. It may be to help an elderly/ needy neighbor with yard work, or a friendly visit. Some could make a trip to the Nursing home with smiles and songs. The only rule is to DO GOOD for someone.

However, we need help with projects that have been brought to our attention and YOU can make a Difference with us!

1. Ozark Humane Society clean up and can crushing

2. Mixon Elementary School Pressure Washing and working in flower beds

3. Boys & Girls Club painting soccer goals and working in flower beds

4. Yard work at 4 homes of shut in’s

5. D.A. Smith School painting outside stairs

6. Mission Point Store, light labor/organizing work

SUPPLIES NEEDED: Push Mowers, pressure washer, yard tools, gloves, paint supplies

ALL GOOD DOERS are encouraged to celebrate each other and our community with a Lunch at Greater Sardis Missionary Baptist Church at 12.

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Galatians 6:9
