Man Arrested on Multiple Drug Charges

On September 10, 2017, Officers with the Marianna Police Department observed a suspicious vehicle backed into the entrance of the Hinson Conservation Area on Jefferson St after park hours.
Upon making contact with the driver, Jacob Brock, Officers detected that odor of burnt marijuana.
Officers identified the passenger as a 17 year old female.
A subsequent search Brock’s person and the vehicle revealed a marijuana cigarette, a marijuana pipe and a container with cannabis oil inside.
Both Brock and the female admitted to smoking marijuana in the vehicle.
Brock was arrested and transported to the Jackson County Correction Facility to await first appearance. He is being charged with Possession of Cannabis Oil, Possession of Marijuana less than 20 grams, possession of narcotic paraphernalia and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
