Man Charged with Assaulting a Firefighter-EMT in Jackson County

On 7/2/18 Deputies from the Uniform Patrol Division responded to the area of Blount Rd. in Grand Ridge, Florida in reference to an unresponsive person. Upon contact by JCSO and Jackson County Fire / Rescue, the person, identified as Rex Blount, W/M became aggressive, and battered J.C.F.R. Staff on scene.
Blount was arrested for Battery on a Fire Fighter / EMT. Blount was transported to the Jackson County Correctional Facility to await First Appearance on the above charge.
