On June 18, 2018, at approximately 9:50 am, a Deputy with the uniform patrol division was making a routine patrol in the area of Highway 71 and the I10 corridor. While patrolling the area, the deputy observed a white, male standing at the intersection holding a cardboard sign, soliciting the passing motorists. Contact was made with this male in reference to interfering with traffic flow.
The male was identified as Jarvis Glenn per his Washington State identification card. His information was relayed to the Jackson County Communications Center to confirm Glenn's identity. The Communications Center relayed that Glenn had an active warrant out of Spalding County Georgia. This warrant was for failing to register as a sexual offender. Dispatch also advised Glenn had another warrant out of Washington for the same offense. Spalding County responded that they would place a hold and extradite Glenn on the active warrant.
Glenn was arrested for being a fugitive from justice and charged as such per Florida Statute 941.02. Glenn was transported to JCCF without incident to await first appearance and extradition.
