A man faces criminal charges after another threat was made to Eufaula City Schools Monday night, officials said.
The school system closed its doors Nov. 8 after a threat was posted to social media the night before. This second threat was posted on social media Monday night, Eufaula police said.
A man from Clayton, 19-year-old Latrell Vontae Chism, was arrested Tuesday afternoon and charged with seven felony counts of making a terrorist threat, police chief Steve Watkins said in a statement posted on Facebook Tuesday.
“The post was the second in as many weeks threatening harm to the school institutions, students and staff in Eufaula. The Eufaula Police Department aggressively investigated the latest incident into the overnight hours, culminating in an arrest Tuesday afternoon,” Watkins said.
