Man Wanted for Shooting at Athens Apartment Complex

Athens police are trying to find a man accused of shooting a man at Willowbrook Apartments Saturday morning, according to Athens police.


Police have obtained a warrant for 23-year-old Patrick Johnson Tuesday. He is a 5'6" black male and weighs about 120 pounds, police said. Police have been unable to locate Johnson, Athens police chief Floyd Johnson said.


Police received a call of a car hitting a utility pole on Jefferson Street near Market Street just before 6 a.m. Saturday, he said. The driver told responding officers he had been shot at Willowbrook Apartments on Henry Drive and was driving himself to the emergency room when he hit the utility, Johnson said.
