Marianna Police Charge One with Robbery

On July 26th, 2017 at approximately 9:53pm officers with the Marianna Police Department responded to Cottondale Village Apartments (4052 Old Cottondale Road) in reference to a robbery. Upon officers arrival it was determined that a Dominos delivery driver was robbed in front building 11 at the apartment complex. Officers obtained a description of a suspect, however the suspect was unable to be located.
During the initial investigation, it was learned that the Dominos driver delivered a pizza to an apartment in the complex. After the delivery, a black male approached the delivery driver from behind and placed him in the chokehold. The suspect demanded money and began to fight with the delivery driver. The suspect was able to get away with a small amount of money.
Since the date of the incident, investigators were able to develop the identity of a suspect. The suspect was identified as Terez Armstead of Marianna, Florida. Investigators obtained a warrant for Armstead’s arrest charging him with the robbery. On August 9th, 2017 investigators were able to arrest Armstead without incident within the Cottondale Village Apartments. Armstead was transported to the Jackson County Correctional Facility to await first appearance.
