On Friday March 23, 2018 at approximately 10:55 P.M., the Marianna Police Department received a report that a residence located on Myles St. had been shot multiple times by an unknown subject. Upon officers’ arrival, they learned that the two occupants inside the residence had been unharmed during the shooting.

During the course of the investigation, it was determined that at approximately 10:54 P.M. both occupants were sitting inside when they heard a vehicle approach the front of their residence. Suddenly they heard several gunshots, followed by the sound of projectiles entering the front of the residence. As the gunshots stopped, they heard the vehicle drive away. The occupants were then able to call 911.

While on scene, at approximately 12:25 A.M. Saturday Officers heard gunshots coming from the south. Officers then attempted to locate where those shots had been fired. Approximately a block away, an officer observed two subjects standing in a yard at a residence located on Washington St. The officer made contact with the subjects who stated that their residence had also been shot at, but no one had been harmed.

Upon further investigation, it was determined that at approximately 12:25 A.M. both occupants were inside the residence with their new born child, when they heard a vehicle approach their residence from Washington St. They then heard approximately 4 gunshots. They both rushed to the front door and looked outside, but observed no vehicles or persons present. They then observed a projectile lying on the kitchen floor.
