Dothan. Sep. 7, 2018:  SEACT.com and the Dothan Civic Center Box Office are selling tickets for Mary Poppins, Jr., performing at the Dothan Opera House Sep. 19-22. Southeast Alabama Community Theatre launches a new season with the magic of Mary, Bert, and enough spoons of sugar to put a smile on everyone’s face.


This is the classic tale of the jack-of-all trades, Bert, who introduces us to England in 1910 and the troubled Banks family. Young Jane and Michael have sent many a nanny packing before Mary Poppins arrives on their doorstep. Using a combination of magic and common sense, she must teach them (and their parents) how to recapture the joy of childhood and family through magical and memorable adventures. Appropriate for all audiences. Directed by Judy Brown & Margo Wright.  Each performance runs 1 hour, 15 minutes with a brief intermission.


 


Tickets are available online at www.SEACT.com, www.DothanCivicCenter.org, or by contacting the Dothan Civic Center Box Office (334) 615-3175. The box office is open 8:30 – 4:30 PM weekdays, and located on the second floor of the Dothan Civic Center. Tickets are $20 each, and all persons must have a seat. Performances are at 7:00 PM Sep. 19-22 and at 2:00 PM Sep. 22 only. The Dothan Opera House lobby opens at 6:00 PM (1:00 PM for matinee) with tickets on sale if the performance is not sold out. Reserved seating begins at 6:30 PM (1:30 PM for matinee).
