This morning Dothan Mayor Mark Saliba talked about the spike in the power bills. He stated that the City of Dothan did NOT increase the cost of power but that the amount of power used did double during the cold month.
The cost of a power bill should come back down once it levels off. He also stated that the City of Dothan does have what call a budgeted bill where the cost of a year’s worth of power is divided into 12 months.
He also stated that the older homes that were not energy efficient would cost more than a newer home.
