Mayor Mike Schmitz Makes a Big Announcement after Today’s Commission Meeting

DOTHAN:  Today after the Dothan City Commission Meeting Dothan Mayor Mike Schmitz announced he would not seek reelection for a third term as Dothan’s Mayor. Mayor Schmitz emotional announcement was a surprise to most everyone.


He said he was proud of the work that has been accomplished while he was mayor but after much consideration he and his family have decided it was time.
