Middle School Student Charged with Making School Threat

A 13-year old student at Ruckel Middle School in Niceville was arrested today after saying she wanted to “shoot up the school” and “I’m going to kill you” in front of several classmates.


Following an investigation, the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office charged the teen with making a false report to use a firearm in a violent manner – a second degree felony.


Two of the witnesses who heard the defendant’s statements say they were scared by the comments and fear prompted them to tell someone.
