Miracle League "Picnic at the Park"

The Dothan Miracle League Board and the Alabama Baseball Coaches Association is pleased to announce “Picnic at the Park” at the Miracle Field Complex on Sunday, March 17th, 2019 at 2:00 pm. The event allows local high school baseball players to interact with the participants of the Dothan Miracle League program.


The Alabama Baseball Coaches Association partners each baseball season with Miracle League programs throughout the State of Alabama. Barry Dean, President/Executive Director of the Alabama Baseball Coaches Association will communicate with the six local high school baseball programs requesting that each team participate in our first event. All Dothan Miracle League participants will be invited to attend and enjoy the fun-filled event that includes an exhibition game, picnic lunch, and fellowship.


Many of the area high school baseball & softball teams have served in past seasons as buddies for the participants. The Dothan Miracle League Board stated: “We are looking forward to the start of 2019 season. Opening Ceremonies will be held Saturday, March 16th, 2019.


The “Picnic at the Park” event on the following day, raises awareness for our program of 160 participants. The Dothan Miracle League is an organization that provides children and adults with mental and/or physical challenges an opportunity to play baseball as a team member in an organized league.
