Mobile police urge residents to download Smart 911 app after weekend shootings

MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) — It was weekend of violent chaos with five shootings across Mobile. Two people were shot and killed and multiple others were injured.


"It's sad. It is sad, especially being so close," says a Mobile resident who did not want to be identified.





MPD was able to locate those victims quickly, but in case you ever find yourself in a life or death situation with no one around. The Mobile Police Department is urging the community to download the app Smart 911. It's an app that will help them find you quicker when calling 911.
