More Columbia Drama - Police Chief Places Police Officer On Administrative Leave - WAIT

COLUMBIA:    Columbia Police Chief Shad Floyd places police officer on Administrative Leave pending an investigation...for subjecting the City of Columbia to legal action...the same as the Police Chief did on video and the Mayor and his wife has done.

But if you are not on the Mayor's team but perhaps the citizens team, retaliation can occur.

CHAIN OF EVENTS

On Monday reports from sources in Columbia, SARCOA was on hand looking for documents from the Senior Citizens Center.

Last evening ( Tuesday )  Columbia Police Chief Shad Floyd placed the other police officer on Administrative Leave. Reports are an internal investigation is on going. 

Columbia has been plagued with a lot of trouble recently. The Mayor's wife was in charge of the senior citizens center. According to letters from SARCOA about 900 forged signatures were found on the records of who gets free meals.

That resulted in the resignation of the Mayor's wife and suspension of the Senior Citizens Program by SARCOA. In a special meeting the Columbia Town Council voted to pay close to   $ 5000.00 to SARCOA for the forged signature meals.

At the special meeting Columbia Police Chief Shad Floyd was being his arrogant rude and self centered self when he cut the lights off in the building while people were being interviewed.

That caused a lady to fall and get injured, which happen to be the former Mayor of Columbia. She has been seeing medical doctors and potential claims are being filed against the City for making the building dark.

In fact safety regulations require emergency lighting. Chief Floyd's actions were intentional in making the building dark causing safety issues which resulted in injuries to a citizen.

Funny, Chief Floyd placed the police officer on Administrative Leave. The reason for the leave is accusations that his actions could subject the City of Columbia to legal action.

But Chief Floyd's intentional and deliberate actions DID CAUSE the City of Columbia to be subject to legal action. But Mayor Lancaster has done nothing. Lancaster has also refused to resign as Mayor.

The people of Columbia are up in arms over the Mayor's actions and those of his wife. The people want the Mayor gone.

They have called for a criminal investigation. But SARCOA has to be the one filing the complaint to cause the investigation into the 900 forged signatures they allege. SARCOA has met with members of the District Attorney's Office and the Houston County Sheriff Department.
