Multiple police officers taken to hospital after officer-involved shooting in Harrisburg

Multiple police officers were transported by ambulance this morning in Harrisburg at the scene of an officer-involved shooting, the Dauphin County district attorney confirms.


District Attorney Fran Chardo said the officers were injured during a warrant service in the area of South 18th and Mulberry streets in Harrisburg.


One person was shot by police, Chardo said. He said he can't say more at this point on that person's condition.


Officers at the scene said the county Crisis Response Team was clearing a residence, and that the shooting suspect was in the residence. No information on the condition of the suspect was available or whether he was in custody.
