Dothan, Ala. (May 8, 2018)– As we celebrate National Hospital Week and National Nurses Week, I want to thank each of our Flowers Hospital employees for all they do for our hospital. Each member of our team plays a vital role in our ability to provide exceptional care to patients in our community.
Flowers Hospital is a unique place, in the very best of ways. Nearly 70 years ago, Dr. Paul Flowers founded our hospital with the simple concept of “Caring for You as Family.” Our hospital has since grown from those humble beginnings to where we are today as a leader in our community, caring for thousands of patients each year. What hasn’t changed in all these years is the spirit of the people who work at Flowers Hospital. Like any family, we aren’t perfect, and we are always looking for ways to improve. But, it is the 1,350+ employees that make our hospital such a special place. Each of our employees, regardless of their role, has a direct impact on the care provided to our patients and is an important part of what we do.
I am so incredibly appreciative of the work that this team does on a daily basis. Their jobs are challenging and, many times, emotionally draining. They are responsible for providing care to thousands upon thousands of patients each year as they help families welcome new bundles of joy, care for the sick, comfort the scared and grieve with the heartbroken. They work long hours because they care about our patients and each other as coworkers.
As healthcare continues to evolve, I am so grateful that I get to navigate these waters with this team of people. On behalf of the Flowers Hospital leadership team, THANK YOU to each member of our staff! We sincerely appreciate every one of you!
Happy Hospital Week! Happy Nurses Week!
