DOTHAN - HOUSTON COUNTY: Dothan - Houston County Emergency Management Director Chris Judah established Wednesday at noon as the test date for the weather sirens.
This Wednesday is the day that has been scheduled for months to test the sirens.
Well Wednesday is the day for Special Needs children to be at the National Peanut Festival.
After Director Judah talked with Senator Harri Anne Smith and Dothan Fire Marshall Chris Etheredge Judah had ordered the siren at the National Peanut Festival to be
Opted from the testing. This will allow the Special Needs kids to enjoy the NPF and the siren alert not alarming them.
It is the mission of Dothan - Houston County Emergency Management Director Chris Judah To always have Houston County prepared. The siren testing has normally been on a Friday. That meant if there were any issues they could not be repaired until the following week. By testing on Wednesday it leaves two days to have them repaired during the work week.
