New police chief makes first address to Elba City Council

ELBA:    Monday evening, July 9, the Elba City Council opened with a report from new Police Chief Leslie Hussey. Hussey addressed the city fathers for the first time since assuming the position as chief. He thanked the council for the opportunity to serve Elba. Chief Hussey said retired State Trooper Dale Cobb had agreed to come out of retirement and help with the policing of the community. Cobb worked for the Elba Police Department about 20 years ago.
